Cardrona is one of our favourite ski resorts in New Zealand. Any snow holiday to the South Island of New Zealand is not complete without a visit to Cardrona.

From Winter 2021 onwards, there will be no public-facing landfill bins at either resort and free shuttles will be offered.

Summer 2019 is set to be another busy one of developments up at Cardrona Alpine Resort, with today’s announcement of a new lift, accessing advanced terrain, to be installed in the “Pringles” area of the resort.

A new partnership between Cardrona Alpine Resort and Queenstown businessman John Darby will lead to the development of New Zealand’s largest alpine resort, incorporating Cardrona and a new Soho Basin Ski Area.

Developments for the 2017 winter season at Cardrona have totalled over $15million, with continued investment in the resort’s facilities and infrastructure. The investment includes a new high speed cabin lift, Base facility development, and improvements in terrain, car parking and snowmaking.
